Edgar Ortiz, a Senior Account Executive at HUB International since 2018, and is dedicated to educating individuals about their benefits. Serving as a bilingual benefits expert in the El Paso office, Edgar plays a vital role in driving the retention and growth of the employee benefits department by supporting sales and service initiatives. His passion for education and finance emerged early in his career when he spearheaded a Reg D 506(c) capital offering, pitching to investors monthly akin to “Shark Tank.”

Inspired by his wife, a seventh-grade math teacher, Edgar was deeply committed to assisting school district employees within HUB retirement before moving to benefits department in 2022.

Beyond the boardroom, Edgar has been married to his Eastwood High School sweetheart Sonya, for 18 years. They are the proud parents of three wonderful children, Jeannette (17), Miranda (14) and Nathaniel (11). Edgar enjoys cheering on his children at volleyball and golf tournaments, instilling in them a love for staying active—reflecting his own passion for running, highlighted by completing a run on the Golden Gate Bridge and the Las Vegas Half Marathon in Fall 2019.

Edgar’s academic accomplishments include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Phoenix while also graduating with honors from the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society. A skilled leader proficient in coaching, sales, team building, negotiation, and strategic planning, Edgar is known for his exceptional presentation abilities, honed over years of practice. His capacity to deliver compelling messages resonates with stakeholders, be it customers, investors, or executives.
