Dr. Ankur Patel is a seasoned musculoskeletal radiologist and has been in El Paso for 8 years working with Diagnostic Outpatient Imaging.

He is a born and raised Chicagoan and began his academic journey at the University of Illinois.  Dr. Patel achieved a Bachelor of Science in Molecular & Cellular Biology and Psychology. This strong foundation was leveraged in their pursuit of a Medical Doctorate at Rush Medical College.  He pursued his Diagnostic Radiology residency and his Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship in Chicago as well.

While in training Dr. Patel had been participant in leading radiology organizations. He has held several leadership positions within the American College of Radiology and the Chicago Radiological Society.

After he completed his training, he and his family decided to move to El Paso to start his professional journey.

While working with Diagnostic Outpatient Imaging for the last 8 years he has also become a faculty member at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and a Preceptor at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Patel continues to share his expertise with the next generation of medical professionals.

He spends most of his off time with his family playing sports, traveling, and in pursuits of enriching cultural experiences.
