Underserved Communities Foundation Secretary

Aurora, born and raised in El Paso, Texas, is a certified teacher, counselor, educational consultant and president of IMA, Inspiration Motivation Application LLC.  Aurora founded and established her company named: IMA, Inspiration, Motivation, Application LLC, which reflects her belief in providing participants with the tools for developing one’s inner strengths and treasures.  She currently serves her community by providing workshops on personal and professional development.  

Certifications include Bachelors of Science in Generic Special Education, two Masters of Science degrees, one as a certified counselor and the second masters is in the discipline in Occupational Training and Development. Aurora also holds an Early Childhood Endorsement. Additional certifications are in Creative Journal Expressive Arts, Visioning ® She has led Laughter Yoga groups, has attended and continues to attend The UCLA, Expressive Arts and Healing Conference where she received her certificate of completion on Social Emotional Training on A Shoe String.  She has also served as a certified practitioner for the Family Leadership Institute. Aurora recently completed her certification through the Capacitar International Program based on Trauma Healing and Transformation.

Aurora has chaired and founded local, state and national conferences and is the founder of first-time initiatives such as a national conference in South Padre Island for educators and health professionals to inspire them to serve with love. She founded Concerts Under the Sky, and The Red Ribbon Family Fun Fest to provide a safe place where families could have fun, without alcohol or drugs promoting a safe environment in the home and their community
